The five numbers that matter first
Team total and wickets tell you the state of the innings. Overs tell you how much of the allocation is gone. Run rate is history; required rate is the homework still on the page. Strike rate is about a batter, not the whole side. The cricket page puts those labels in a table you can screenshot.
Formats change the pace, not the grammar
Tests stretch the same numbers over sessions. T20 compresses them until a single over rewrites the required rate. The scorecard layout stays familiar; only the urgency changes. Official apps still beat a random APK when you want bowling figures that match the broadcast.
When the number disagrees with the TV
Feeds desync. Trust the source with a public newsroom or a cricket board, then refresh. Unofficial clients that advertise zero delay are making a claim this site will not repeat.
